Ben Fulton Rocks The Bunker
It was great to hear some high energy acoustic music played with passion and
power. From covers of Nick Drake, Dylan, Led Zepplin and even David Wilcox,
to an abundance of original material, Ben kept the house rockin'. I forgot to
take the camera. Check out
Ben's website.

Tattie Jock at Titirangi

Tracey Collins, Tony Ricketts, Steve Collins and Jim Cardow showed us what high
energy Celtic music is all about. The good time that the band was having infected
the whole audience to the point that we had to clear out the chairs so we could
dance. Clever and tight arrangements coupled with a high degree of musicianship
delivered a night of quality music.

Bunker Blues

Derrick Burfield, Alan Young and Neil Finlay got down and dirty at The Bunker,
playing that old time Crossroads blues. They even indulged in a brief diversion
into down hearted Country and, yes, Western. It was all tastefully and skillfully
performed and a good time was had by all.

Mike Galagher at ECBFC
It was the ninth birthday for the East Cost Bays Folk Club, hosted by Judith
and Brian Moore. The mulled wine and shared nibbles got everyone warmed up for
an evening of good music. After a varied first half, Mike Galagher served up
a fine set of fingerpicking and singing. (Sorry, no photo).
